lingua@hillcrest opened in 2007 and is as far as we know a unique language centre complete with its own shopping village. The centre is completely independent of the main school and facilities include :

  • A mini shopping village with a bank, grocer’s, chemist’s, clothes shop, gift shop, lost property office, market and café
  • A well-equipped teaching room for teaching and language activities
  • Adjacent parking for mini-buses
We offer fun-packed educational visits to students of all ages right through from Key Stage 2 to Key stage 5 which will leave your pupils enthused and confident about their linguistic skills. Visits are currently available in French, German & Spanish.

Take part in a whirlwind carousel of intensive, fun, interactive activities led by trained teachers and native speakers. More

Let us create an experience based on a topic of your choice in French, German or Spanish or adapt an existing visit for your pupils. More

Murder Mystery

Solving a Murder Mystery: Language work will be supported but they will need to be language detectives too! More

Most visits involve an intensive, enjoyable carousel of language - building activities led by linguists followed by hands-on practice of those language skills in the shopping village.
