As a girls’ school with a mixed sixth form, Hillcrest provides an environment where every student can achieve their potential, both academically and socially.

We offer GCSE, A-level and BTEC L2 and L3 examination courses, making our choice of the syllabus to suit the best needs of our students and this choice is regularly reviewed.

Exam Results 2022-2023

GCSE Results

English and Maths

72% of students achieved the standard pass grade (4+) in both English and Maths.

50% of students achieved the strong pass grade (5+) in both English and Maths.

30% of students achieved the Ebacc set of subjects with strong pass (grade 5+) in Maths, English, Humanities, Languages and 2 or more Science qualifications.

91% of students were entered for the Ebacc set of subjects.

25% of all GCSE grades were at grade 7, 8 or 9.

A LEVEL and BTEC Level 3 RESULTS 2023

Another year with a 100% pass rate (for the 14th consecutive year).

Hillcrest Year 13 students achieved:

A* to B = 60% (52.7% nationally in 2023)

A* to C = 92% (75.4% nationally in 2023)

A*to E = 100% (97.2% nationally in 2023)

There has been a return to pre-pandemic grading this summer in England with protection in place for students. It is most meaningful to compare results to 2019, the last summer exam series before the pandemic.

Another year with a 100% pass rate (for the 12th consecutive year).

Hillcrest Year 13 students achieved:

A* = 28% (14.6% nationally in 2022)

A* & A = 74% (36.4% nationally in 2022)

A* to B = 90%

A* to C = 94% (82% nationally in 2022)

A* to D = 100%

A*to E = 100% (98.4% nationally in 2022)

100% of students are now on University or Apprenticeship routes.

Exceptional individual results include Duaa who achieved 3 A* grades in Maths, Further Maths and Physics and grade A in Chemistry, and has a place at Churchill College Cambridge. Dania who achieved 3 A grades in Maths, Chemistry and Biology, and has a place at Kings College London. Aiyah who achieved 3 A grades in Maths, Chemistry and Biology. Rumaysah who achieved A* in Criminology and A grades in Psychology and Sociology. Fatima who achieved A* in Psychology, A in Sociology and B in Criminology, and has a place at the University of Birmingham.
