Dear Parents/Carers

Due to the exceptionally high temperatures forecast for tomorrow (Wednesday 24th June) and the Met Office issuing a rare Red Weather Warning, we have made the decision to close the school early on Wednesday 24th June.

Students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm.

This decision has been made following careful consideration of the exceptional heat and impact on classroom environments. Students should continue to wear PE kit or if they are wearing school uniform they do not need to bring their blazer or tie to school. Please encourage students to bring a refillable bottle of water to remain hydrated.

If you would like your child to remain in school under supervision until 3:15 pm, please notify the school by emailing enquiry@hillcrest.bham.sch.uk no later than 9:00 am tomorrow.

We will update you on arrangements for Thursday 25^th June by 3:00 pm tomorrow.
