Hillcrest Ready
What it Means to Be Hillcrest Ready?
At Hillcrest, our induction week is designed so that students become Hillcrest Ready from day one. During this focused period, they learn the school routines, expectations and values that underpin success—being punctual, respectful, equipped and engaged. They practise walking to lessons, settling swiftly, using enriched vocabulary and collaborating with others. As they become familiar with our systems and culture, they gain confidence, allowing teachers to begin teaching knowledge rather than re-teaching routines. By the start of regular lessons, they are settled, motivated and ready to learn, ensuring that the pathway to excellence is open to all.
Being Hillcrest Ready means every student is equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed both in school and in life. Our students show pride in themselves, in their learning and in their community.
